2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Tournament Honoring Marine Corps Captain Kyle R. Van De Giesen

"He fulfilled his life-long dream of becoming a Marine helicopter pilot, protecting his family and serving his country."

U.S. Marine Capt. Kyle R. Van De Giesen of the Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action on Oct. 26, 2009. He was piloting an AH-1 Cobra Marine attack helicopter when it collided with another helicopter while conducting combat operations in the Helmand province of Afghanistan.

Kyle was born on April 14, 1980 in Ridgewood, N.J and was a 1998 graduate of North Attleboro High School. This was his third deployment overseas after already being deployed twice to Iraq. 

Kyle is survived by his wife Megan, his 2 year old daughter Avery Grace, and a 9 month old son, Colin Joseph, who was born just a few days after his dad's funeral. He is also survived by his parents, Calvin and Ruth Ann, his brothers Christian and Ryan and his sister Caitlin.

So who are we?

Fenway Westfield is a 1/4 scale replica of Boston's Fenway Park built in the backyard of Chris and Jen Dolan's home in Westfield, Massachusetts. The field, used primarily for Wiffle ball games, was built during the summer of 2008 as a fund raising tool for the Community Christian School (CCS) located in Westfield.

The heart behind Fenway Westfield is to provide a platform for the students of CCS to serve God and the community by raising funds for their school and other community causes.....and to have fun doing it!!
